An incredible part of the nation’s and New York’s cultural heritage, it became critical to update this much-loved performance venue to ensure its continued prominence in the 21st century. Utilizing modern technology, new life has been breathed into the historic design elements, creating a new appreciation for the bold and daring interiors of a bygone era.

A complete restoration of the interior finishes, murals, furniture, an overhaul of theatrical systems, along with an upgrade of mechanical and structural infrastructure, was undertaken in just seven months. Each year, more than two million people enjoy well-known Christmas and Easter shows, many of them unaware of the modern improvements.
