Steinberg Hart and GPI Companies to launch Nine Thousand One

Acclaimed Restaurant Uchi and Pilates Studio Solidcore to Take Groundfloor Storefronts along Santa Monica Blvd.

Los Angeles, CA (August 15, 2022) – GPI Companies, a locally-based, full-service real estate investment, development, and operating firm and Steinberg Hart, an award-winning national architecture firm, announced today that Nine Thousand One, West Hollywood’s newest luxury mixed-used development has commenced leasing. Located at 9001 Santa Monica Boulevard and envisioned as a refuge in a bustling city, Nine Thousand One is a five-story boutique building with 46 for-lease residences and 10,000 square feet of prime retail and restaurant space — all centrally located at the intersection of L.A.’s cultural and creative cores, where West Hollywood’s vibrant Design District meets the iconic boutiques, parks and galleries of Beverly Hills.

GPI Companies also announced that the location has signed acclaimed Austin, TX-based restaurant Uchi and pilates studio Solidcore to ground floor storefronts along Santa Monica Boulevard.

“With Nine Thousand One, we’ve curated the best of what Los Angeles living has to offer in the heart of one of the city’s most desirable pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods,” said Alexander Akhtarzad, Director at GPI Companies. “Residents will experience an unmatched, full-service living opportunity just moments from this cosmopolitan city’s best culinary experiences, wellness destinations, high-quality fitness stops, and couture shops. We’re delighted to now be accepting leasing applications for Nine Thousand One and we look forward to welcoming our first residents home.”

“Nine Thousand One’s location combined with its understated yet upscale vibe is undoubtedly going to cement it as the hottest new building in town,” said the exclusive leasing agent for the building. “We can’t wait to lease up this incredible property and see it come to life.”

Designed by Steinberg Hart with interiors by Colacion Studios, Nine Thousand One was designed with wellness in mind, offering residents direct access to the lush greenery of the interior courtyard and ample opportunities for fresh air, natural light and cross-ventilation. Crafted in a clean, California Modern aesthetic, the project pairs the high-end finishes, open-air entrances and private outdoor spaces of a custom home with the elevated amenities and of a boutique hotel. Offering a mix of well-appointed one-bedroom and two-bedroom units and a limited collection of two-story townhomes — all ranging from 1,100 – 2,200 square feet and each with private spacious outdoor terraces, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and sweeping views of the city and Hollywood Hills, the building provides its residents with estate-like living spaces in the heart of a dynamic, upscale neighborhood.

“Each light-filled residence at Nine Thousand One was designed as a bespoke sanctuary that blurs the line between indoors and outdoors and embodies true southern California living,” said Simon Ha, Partner and Mixed-Use Practice Leader at Steinberg Hart. “From the moment residents enter the central courtyard to when they cross the threshold of their homes and step out onto their terraces, they are surrounded by an unparalleled luxury experience.”

Nine Thousand One includes a fitness center, pool deck, pet spa and park, club house and business center, landscaped outdoor spaces and living areas, a private lobby with 24/7 concierge service, and two levels of subterranean parking. With unmatched building technology and residential services, residents benefit from a fully-automated concierge lifestyle, including in-unit cleaning services, pick-up/delivery dry cleaning, on-demand car washing, and dining and cultural reservation bookings. Nine Thousand One guarantees a cohesive luxury with an established partnership with coveted fragrance brand Le Labo, who will be supplying all products for the building.

At the ground level, Nine Thousand One adds to the vibrant neighborhood with roughly 10,000 square feet of retail space, which will include a 6,000-square-foot restaurant to be occupied by Austin’s celebrated restaurant Uchi, a nontraditional Japanese concept from award-winning Executive Chef Tyson Cole’s Hai Hospitality. Neighboring Uchi will be Solidcore, a boutique Pilates studio with locations across the country. Solidcore is expected to open this fall, while Uchi is projected to open next year.

Bookended by the new Melrose Triangle and Robertson Lane projects, Nine Thousand One is located within minutes of Rodeo Drive, the Sunset Strip, the Melrose, Robertson, and Beverly Boulevard shopping districts, Cedars-Sinai Hospital, the Pacific Design Center, and the West Hollywood Design District – a cultural destination featuring up-and-coming designers, art galleries, and premier restaurants. Nine Thousand One is also across from the iconic Bottega Louie’s new West Hollywood restaurant and dynamic arts destination Hauser & Wirth, which is set to open soon.
