Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Fredrik grew up in a family of builders and craftsmen, which shaped his unique aptitude for design. With over 20 years of experience across a wide range of project types and scales, he brings a rigorous design sensibility to residential, commercial, and civic projects in Los Angeles and internationally.

As Design Director, Fredrik co-leads the design of award-winning mixed-use and commercial projects and has been instrumental in establishing and refining Steinberg Hart’s design process. He emphasizes early project research and a clear understanding of context and program, forming a strong conceptual framework that guides each project from inception through execution. His meticulous attention to craft and detail reinforces the firm’s reputation for design excellence.

Fredrik holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and is a licensed architect in the state of California as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. He also serves on the Board of the Barnsdall Art Foundation.
