George BlumeAIA, IIDA, NCARB
Principal
Over his career, George has combined a passion for his hometown sensibilities and client aspirations to create architectural solutions and compelling place-making.
A native Texan, George has been part of the Austin community since 1987 and began his career as an architect in the Austin area in 2004. His family has deep roots in Central and South Texas, and he loves the passion, spirit, and culture of his home state — particularly the Austin area. He is incredibly dedicated to helping clients, communities, and users achieve their greatest dreams, needs, and goals.
George believes in making the world as wondrous as possible through the art of place-making. He believes great architectural experiences are not created by looking at trends or the competition — studying those data points is not the basis of good design, merely the prerequisite. Creating great places and experiences comes from an exhaustive creative process that grows into a compelling vision, while respecting the financial needs of the client. That vision should be authentic and transformative, giving back to the user, the community, and the owner — both economically and culturally.
He is excited for the future of the Texas market and all that he hopes to contribute in bringing those visions to reality.
