Habitat was honored at the 2026 AIA Los Angeles Design Awards, which celebrates excellence in built design across Los Angeles and recognizes outstanding achievements in architecture, in addition to celebrating professionals who contribute to the framework of the local built environment.
Habitat has been recognized with a 2026 AIA|LA Merit Award. Located in the heart of Los Angeles, Habitat is a live-work-thrive campus bringing together residential, workplace, and amenity spaces. Through terraced massing, integrated landscaping, abundant natural light, and fluid indoor-outdoor connections, the project creates a dynamic environment centered on sustainability, wellness, and community. The residential side of this project seeks to embody California hospitality—an inviting, curated retreat designed for ease and elegance. Consisting of 260 units across 12 stories, amenities such as a fitness center, yoga studio, outdoor pool, bicycle storage, and a sky lounge with a terrace offering panoramic views all contribute to a culture of wellness.
Habitat raises the bar for sustainability, targeting LEED Gold for the Residential and LEED Platinum for the Commercial building. The architecture incorporates features such as low-carbon concrete, solar energy system, water-efficient landscaping, on-site stormwater treatment & infiltration, and maximized natural light in order to ensure climate resilience and minimize resource demand.
Congratulations to our valued clients and partners at Lendlease SHoP Architects, RELM Studio, and the entire project team on this exciting recognition!
